    This Final Research Paper presents nanotechnologies in the scenario of the Fourth Industrial Revolution and its legal challenges. There are no well-defined specific regulatory structures for researches, industrial production, commercialization and the final destination of products containing nanoparticles.

    This work presents the framework and guiding principles, which were structured by John Gerard Ruggie, as a regulatory framework to guide the construction of selfregulatory instruments by organizations that innovate from the nanometric scale.

    From the characteristics of Responsible Research and Innovation (RRI) it signals the use of due diligence of the governance of nanotechnology-based organizations.

    From regulatory science, these substantial elements are projected into the architecture of the regulatory environment, whose internal results, hermeneutically linked, are projected in the issuance of a Comfort Letter as the realization of corporate social responsibility of innovative organizations in the nanotechnology scenario.

    Este Trabalho Final de Investigação apresenta as nanotecnologias no cenário da Quarta Revolução Industrial e os seus desafios jurídicos. Não existem marcos regulatórios legislativos específicos bem definidos para as investigações, produções indústriais, comercialização e a destinação final de produtos que contenham nanopartículas. Por conta disso, este trabalho apresenta o framework e os princípios orientadores, que foram estruturados por John Gerard Ruggie, como um arcabouço regulatório a guiar a construção de instrumentos autorregulatórios por parte das organizações que inovam a partir da escala nanométrica. Desde as características da Responsible Research and Innovation (RRI) se sinaliza a utilização da due diligence da governança das organizações de base nanotecnológica. A partir da Ciência Regulatória se projeta estes elementos substanciais para a arquitetura do ambiente regulatório, cujos resultados internos, hermeneuticamente vinculados se projetam na emissão de uma Comfort Letter como a concretização da responsabilidade social empresarial das organizações inovadoras no cenário das nanotecnologias.
