    En este artículo se estudian las redes comerciales en el Estrecho de Gibraltar durante el siglo XIV. En este contexto geográfico se presta atención a la presencia de comerciantes genoveses en la ciudad de Algeciras entre su conquista de 1344 y su destrucción en 1378/1379. El planteamiento de este trabajo se asienta en la interacción de la sociedad con el medio ambiente y en su visualización mediante la creación de una red portuaria, base de las actividades mercantiles.

    This paper presents the results on the study of commercial networks in the Strait of Gibraltar during the 14th century. In this geographical context, especial attention is given to the presence of Genoese merchants in the city of Algeciras during its conquest in 1344 and its destruction in 1378/79. This work is based on the approach of the social interaction with the environment manifested by the creation of a harbour network, centre of commercial activities.
