Educational technology and the National Quality Course Plan in China.

    • The article discusses educational technology and China's National Quality Course Plan, which is a plan implemented by China's Ministry of Education (MOEC) to assess and monitor the quality of teachers hired to instruct the growing number of students enrolling in China's universities and colleges. An overview of the three major objectives of the plan, including the encouragement of full time professors to teach undergraduate courses, the promotion of information technology into course teaching, and the free access to the public of educational resources, is presented. Also discussed are the prerequisites for a course to enter the Quality Course selection process, such as the creation of a course Web site.
