Resumen de Smart City : quelle intelligence pour quelle action ?: Les concepts de John Dewey, scalpels de la ville intelligente

John Dewey (1859-1952), a philosopher of the North American pragmatic school, offers definitions of intelligence, data, and knowledge oriented towards action close to those of the Smart City. This paper confronts the discourses and conceptions of the Smart City with this key of reading. Decentralized compared to the usual work on the Smart City, this approach allows an analysis of similarities and gaps by questioning the strategies of different public and private actors, the place and orientations of digital technologies as the underlying conceptions of democracy.

John Dewey (1859-1952), philosophe de l’école pragmatique nord-américaine propose des définitions de l’intelligence, des données, de la connaissance orientées vers l’action que l’on retrouve dans les problématiques de la Smart City. Cet article confronte les discours et les conceptions de la ville intelligente à cette clé de lecture. Cette approche, décentrée par rapport aux travaux habituels sur la Smart City, permet une analyse des convergences comme des écarts où se jouent les questions de l’agir créatif, de la démocratie, de la technologie et les stratégies des différents acteurs publics et privés.
