    En el trabajo se hace una breve referencia del origen y evolución del Ajedrez  hasta su llegada   ha nuestro País. Se abordan algunas acciones e ideas del guerrillero heroico sobre la necesidad de la práctica de este deporte sobre todo para esta época de confrontaciones en que vivimos. Se hace alusión a las valoraciones  de Fidel donde reconoce y admira el amor que el Che sintió por este juego. Se ofrecen además ejemplos que demuestran la vigencia  actual del pensamiento del Che en cuanto al desarrollo y logros que se han obtenido en el Ajedrez en eventos Nacionales e Internacionales.

    In the work a brief reference is made of the origin and evolution of Chess until its arrival in our Country. It addresses some actions and ideas of the heroic guerrilla on the need to practice this sport especially for this time of confrontations in which we live. Allusions are made to Fidel's valuations where he recognizes and admires the love that Che felt for this game. There are also examples that demonstrate the current validity of Che's thinking regarding the development and achievements that have been obtained in Chess at National and International events.
