  El siguiente trabajo se ubica en el estudio del control de constitucionalidad como categoría jurídica y su expresión en la Constitución de Ecuador, función de elevada trascendencia por el lugar que ocupa la Constitución en el ordenamiento jurídico de todo país, es la Carta Magna, la Ley de leyes, de ahí que velar por su cumplimiento y respeto es tarea de primer orden. Los sistemas en torno al control de constitucionalidad están orientados hacia la desconcentración del control en manos de varios tribunales o hacia la concentración, en el caso de Ecuador, la máxima misión de controlar a interpretar la Constitución reside en la Corte Constitucional.

  The current work is about the study of the constitutional control category and its expression in the Constitution of Ecuador, this function is very transcendental because of the place of Constitution in the juridical organization of every country, it is the Magna Carta, the Law of laws, in this way the respect and the observance of the Constitution is a matter of first order. The systems on control of constitutionality are focused to the diversity in different court or the concentration in just one institution, in the case of Ecuador, the highest mission to control and interpreter the Constitution is responsibility of the Constitutional Court.
