While the family institution par excellence keeps being the marriage, the truth is that unmarried couples are a kind of bond that is installed in modern societies and, therefore, Law cannot remain oblivious to this reality. The absence of a State rule to regulate the matter has been partly overlapped by the numerous laws that the autonomous regions have issued on that matter. We will focus, after a brief introduction in the Aragonese regulations regarding stable pair bonds.
