  • Women working in science and engineering earn a fifth less than their male colleagues in the UK, and the gender pay gap increases with age and experience, according to the finding revealed by the 2017 salary survey carried out by The Scientist and science recruitment specialists SRG. The survey paints a stark picture of inequality, and notes the salary gap in the UK, as well as in mainland Europe and the U.S.
