Se presentan los resultados de la campaña de excavación arqueológica de 2016 y un adelanto de la de 2017 en las ruinas del Hospital de San Juan de Jerusalén de Bargota, en el término municipal de Mañeru. En el contexto histórico queda patente la importancia de este enclave sanjuanista, especialmente entre los siglos xiii y xiv, como punto de asistencia al Camino de Santiago. Destaca además en el siglo xiv al convertirse en una comunidad femenina de freiras del Hospital.

The results of the 2016 archaeological excavation campaign at the ruins of the Hospital of St John of Jerusalem of Bargota in the municipality of Mañeru are presented, together with a preview of those of the 2017 campaign. Given the historical context, the importance of this St John order site as a point of assistance on the Way of St James, especially between the 13th and 14th centuries, is evident. The fact that it became a female community of freiras of the Hospital in the 14th century is also worthy of note.

2016ko indusketa arkeologikoaren kanpainaren emaitzak aurkezten dira, baita Bargotako San Joan Jerusalemgoa ospitalearen hondakinetan, Mañeruko udal-mugartean, 2017an eginikoaren aurrerapen bat ere. Testuinguru historikoan agerian gelditzen da ospitale horren garrantzia, batik bat xiii. eta xiv. mendeetan, Donejakue bideko laguntza gune gisa. Bestetik, xiv. mendean nabarmendu zen, seroren komunitate bilakatu zenean.
