  • The article focuses on the effective use of educational technology in the presentation of news articles. It states that the "New York Times" (NYT) newspaper is allowing schools to subscribe for exact digital replicas of the NYT newspaper, and argues that the format doesn't fully utilize educational technology for news presentation. It suggests that electronic newspapers should be designed for a graphic user interface. It mentions that the perception of pictures is the basis of cognition and development and that the use of pictures in education increases interactivity and gives the knowledge a higher order of relevance. It comments on the incorporation of news into maps using hyperlinks and RSS feeds.
