The article focuses on dialogical concept mapping. Particular attention is given to how it can be developed in order to be a useful technology tool for web-based instruction. For use in teaching, the most significant potential of this concept is that it helps teacher examine their students' learning process. This form of mapping causes a student's work to be made visible to the teacher without that teacher needing to ask to see it. The author also explains how the distinction between "internalized understanding" and "external representational forms" coalesce.
