Resumen de Space-time warp could leave memories

Leah Crane

  • Space-time can be permanently warned by the gravitational waves that constantly ripple through it. The distortion, called gravitational wave memory, could allow them to detect waves previously beyond their reach--offering hope of finding some of the universe's most exotic objects. Gravitational waves are created by massive objects moving through space-time. In 2015, the LIGO collaboration first detected a gravitational wave caused by two black holes spiraling towards one another and merging.
