    El presente documento tiene por objeto ofrecer un completo panorama sobre las opciones de atentado terrorista que puedan amenazar la seguridad de las centrales nucleares, y sobre las medidas adoptadas para evitar que esto llegue a producirse. Las instalaciones nucleares se encuentran entre las infraestructuras mejor protegidas en la actualidad debido a la peligrosidad de las fuerzas que alberga su elemento principal, el reactor, habiéndose llevado a cabo un importante esfuerzo de regulación del sector tanto por los Estados como por la comunidad internacional, lo que no quiere decir que no existan brechas en la seguridad que puedan ser aprovechadas por las organizaciones terroristas para llevar a cabo sus acciones en un campo que sin duda les reportará los efectos y la notoriedad buscadas.

    This document aims to provide a comprehensive picture on the options of a terrorist attack that could threaten the security of nuclear power plants, and on measures taken to prevent this will be forthcoming. Nuclear facilities are among the best protected infrastructure at present due to the dangerous nature of the forces that has its main element, the reactor, having been carried out a major effort to regulate the sector both by states and by the international community, although it does not mean that there are no security breaches that could be exploited by terrorist organizations to carry out their activities in a field that definitely will report the impact and notoriety sought.
