    La historia reciente de España está marcada más por enfrentamientos entre compatriotas que contra potencias exteriores en un marco de cierto aislamiento internacional. La España de principios del siglo XXI es un Estado que va ganando presencia en el concierto de naciones y se hace cada vez más responsable como potencia que contribuye a la estabilización de algunas zonas del planeta. En este contexto se hace necesario potenciar la cultura de seguridad y defensa en España para aumentar el conocimiento de las acciones de las Fuerzas Armadas en el resto de la sociedad y aumentar el compromiso de esta.

    The recent history of Spain is marked by confrontations between compatriots more than by confrontations against external powers, in a framework of certain international isolation. Spain at the beginning of the 21st century is a State that is gaining presence in the concert of nations and is becoming increasingly responsible as a power that contributes to the stabilization of some areas of the planet. In this context it is necessary to strengthen the culture of security and defense in Spain to increase awareness of the actions of the Armed Forces in the rest of population and increase the social commitment.
