  En el siglo XX y en los inicios del siglo XX la prensa española publicó informaciones acerca de violencias y linchamientos perpetrados contra supuestas brujas en pueblos y ciudades de España. Este artículo reúne y analiza varias de esas informaciones. Y argumenta que la raíz de esa violencia contra mujeres viejas y pobres tiene relación con la misoginia y con la represión contra la brujería que en los siglos anteriores había impuesto la Inquisición.

  In the XIXth century and the beginning of the XXth the Spanish press published informations about violence and lynchings perpetrated against alleged witches in towns and cities of Spain. This article collects and analyzes several of these reports. And argues that the root of this violence against older and poor women is related to the misogyny and the repression against witchcraft that in previous centuries had imposed the Inquisition.
