We study the evolution of the iconography of the Resurrec-tion of Christ that painters, sculptors, and silversmiths, active in Seville, created from the last manifestations of Gothic art to the present day. We develop aspects such as the apollonian figures of the Renaissance and the influence of the Concilio de Trent; the ceremony of the Descent from the Cross and of the Resurrection; the naturalism of the early Baroque; the crisis of artistic contracts and the isolated attempts of the Contemporary Age; the period of splendour in the 20th century and the Neo-Baroque style. We also evaluate the latest sculptures of the Resurrection of Christ made in Sevillian workshops; the events of Sunday of Resurrection in the province of Seville and the 2024 posters referring to this iconography.
