Resumen de Findings but Sense of Unity On Philosophical Works by Kurt Riezler

Carsten Günter

  • Kurt Riezler, one-time Co-Worker of the then German Chancellor Bethmann-Hollweg is famous for his diary as essential source to reasons and circumstances of the outbreak of first World War. But he was, for most time in his life, as well an ingenious and acribic Philosopher with brilliant authority especially in the classics of Antique philosophy. The Essay portrays and discusses his major works mostly in sequence of their appearance in print, and then tries to systematically evaluate them in relation to Riezlers famous interpretation of Parmenides re-edited by Hans-Georg Gadamer in the beginning of the seventies.
