    By means of the thought of Hans Jonas and Jan Pato?ka, we aim to show that the first ethical problem is that of its manifestation in a world dominated by technique. Thanks to sacrifice (Pato?ka) and responsibility (Jonas), both philosophers help us understand, on the one hand, how ethics can become visible in spite of the domination of instrumental rationality, and, on the other hand, how we can give an ontological consistency to the ethical claim regarding a meditation about life.

    En nous appuyant sur les pensées de Hans Jonas et de Jan Patočka, nous souhaitons montrer que le premier des problèmes éthiques est celui de sa manifestation, à une époque dominée par la technique qui interdit un tel apparaitre. Que ce soit par le sacrifice ou grâce à la responsabilité, ces deux philosophes nous permettent en effet de comprendre, d’une part, comment l’éthique peut se rendre visible et déjouer la logique instrumentale, d’autre part, comment l’on peut donner une consistance ontologique à une telle prétention à partir d’une réflexion qui prend la vie pour thème.
