    En el artículo, el objetivo principal es estudiar los bienes y ajuares particulares que tienen los canónigos y religiosos de la Real Colegiata de San Isidoro de León, los que forman parte de su vida cotidiana, y su posterior transmisión en herencia, una vez que fallecen, donde se refleja también sus comportamientos y actitudes ante la muerte. Es más, por lo tanto, un estudio con un enfoque de condiciones de vida y problemática de herencias del clero regular masculino, que de corte económico.

    Para conseguir los objetivos planteados contamos como principal fuente de información con los inventarios post mórtem de los canónigos y religiosos de la Real Colegiata de San Isidoro de León, efectuados a lo largo del siglo XVIII y los veinticinco primeros años del siglo XIX

    This article focuses on two objectives. Firstly, a study of the belongings of the canons and monks of the Royal Collegiate Church of Saint Isidore of León; that is, all those material possessions which form part of their daily routine. Secondly, analysis of their attitudes towards death by studying the transfer of their legacy via inheritance upon their death. Thus, this is essentially a study focused on the living conditions and legacy issues of the regular male clergy, rather than an economic research.

    In order to achieve these goals the main sources have been postmortem inventories of canons and monks, undertaken throughout the 18th century and the early 19th century.
