    Some of the projects implemented by the Library Services Management of the Province Council of Barcelona in the area of the statistics and evaluation are presented with a view to highlighting different possibilities, systems and methodologies and to provide an approach to the characteristics and the value of public library services in the Barcelona area. In these projects, the data are presented as decision-making support instruments in all tiers of responsibility and to help to provide greater exposure for the contribution made by public library services to the personal, social and community development of the people and the populations that use them.

    Es presenten alguns dels projectes que ha dut a terme la Gerència de Serveis de Biblioteques de la Diputació de Barcelona en l’àmbit de les estadístiques i l’avaluació per a exemplificar les diferents possibilitats, sistemes i metodologies i per a disposar d’una aproximació a les característiques i el valor dels serveis de biblioteca pública a la demarcació de Barcelona. En aquests projectes, les dades es presenten com a instruments per a donar suport a la presa de decisions en qualsevol nivell de responsabilitat i per a ajudar a fer visible la contribució dels serveis de biblioteca pública al desenvolupament personal, social i comunitari dels individus i de les poblacions a què serveixen.
