    La revolución rusa conmocionó a la opinión pública española y ayudó a polarizar la política del país. La creciente demanda de información y análisis sobre lo que en Rusia sucedía hizo que determinados intermediarios, expertos reales o fingidos de la realidad rusa, adquirieran gran prominencia. El menchevique Nikolái Tasin, traído a España como muchos otros refugiados y exiliados por los cataclismos de la guerra, es uno de los personajes más interesantes de este periodo. Conocedor de primera mano de la socialdemocracia rusa, devino uno de los principales comentaristas sobre la revolución, explicando, traduciendo y clarificando, y elaborando una crítica al bolchevismo desde una óptica marxista reformista típica de la Segunda Internacional. Este artículo resume su vida y obra y su paso por España entre 1918 y 1921, e incluye dos apéndices con sus memorias sobre Lenin en la revolución de 1905 y Trotsky en París y España durante la Gran Guerra

    The Russian Revolution shook Spanish public opinion and helped polarise the country’s politics. The growing demand for information and analyses on Russia led to certain intermediaries, real or feigned experts on Russian affairs, to acquire great public prominence. Menshevik Nikolai Tasin, brought to Spain by the cataclysms of the war, as was the case with countless other refugees and émigrés, is one of the most interesting figures of this period. A first-hand connoisseur of Russian Social Democracy, he became one of the main commentators on the revolution, explaining, translating, and clarifying, and critiquing the Bolsheviks from a reformist Marxist perspective. This paper offers a synoptic view of his life and works and of his stint in Spain between 1918 and 1921, and includes two ap pendixes on his reminiscences of Lenin in the revolution of 1905 and of Trotsky in Paris and Spain during the Great War.
