La figura de Orfeo, el célebre cantor tracio en su el episodio de encantar a los animales a los sones de su lira ha estado muy presente en el repertorio iconográfico tanto griego como romano, pasando, con otro significado, al de la figuraciones cristianas . El significado de estas representaciones ha sido muy discutido. En el presente trabajo presentamos un elenco de pavimentos musivos con el tema y abundamos en el carácter de esas representaciones
