  • The article discusses comparative urban research on an international scale. Historically, urban studies are said to have focused on analytical divisions of cities by wealth, political systems, and regions, with little analysis otherwise. With globalization, interests in other comparative urban analyses reportedly has been hindered by methodological resources and intellectual and theoretical limitations. The article researches the reasons for limited comparative research in this field in the past and the capabilities of methodologies that can be used for these studies.
