El presente trabajo constituye un estudio sobre las arqueofaunas terrestre en los talleres de púrpura de la Antigüedad a lo largo de la Fachada Atlántica y del Mediterráneo Centro-Occidental, en un abanico cronológico que abarca desde fase fenicia hasta etapa tardorromana. Se lleva a cabo un análisis de estos enclaves, prestando mayor atención a las arqueofaunas no malacoló¬gicas, iniciando su estudio en función a la presencia o ausencia de este tipo de registros, la metodología arqueofaunística aplicada, su ubicación geográfica, fase cultural y la tipología de los talleres
This work constitutes a study on the faunal remains from ancient purple workshops found along the Atlantic Ocean and West- Central Mediterranean, the timeline analyzed reaches from the Phoenician Era to the late Roman Era. These archeological sites were analyzed focusing on non-malacological faunal remains; studying its presence or absence in the archaeological record, the methodology used its geographical location, the cultural stage, and the typology of the workshops. This study also includes a small analysis of the faunal remains of the archaeological site of Lobos 1, and its correspondent archaeological records that are a documental reference of every type of taxa normally found in these purple workshops.
