  • Resumen
    • The widely used weedkiller glyphosate is available in every garden store. But fears that it can cause cancer have so alarmed politicians in Europe that the European parliament has called for a ban. The final decision rests with European Union member states, although a lack of consensus has delayed the vote on renewing glyphosate's licence. That is now due to take place later this month. Until recently, every regulatory agency that assessed the safety of glyphosate had concluded it poses no risk to health. In 2015, however, the International Agency for Research on Cancer sparked concern by adding glyphosate to its list of things that probably cause cancers
