A 5-year-old male West Highland White terrier was referred for breathing difficulties that have been evolving for 3 weeks and worsened in the last 48 hours, associated with sneezing and epistaxis that has been evolving for 1 month and a half. A CT scan and a rhinoscopic biopsy were performed. A stage 4 osteosarcoma of the nasal cavity classified T3N2M2 was found on histopathological analysis, the gold standard test to characterize the nature of a tumour. Palliative therapeutic management combining a specific COX-2 nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug (firocoxib) and an anticancer chemotherapy alkylating agent (cyclophosphamide) was put in place.
