    El trabajo se centra en los años de la Gran Depresión en Estados Unidos.

    Teniendo en cuenta la situación de crisis económica y social que vivió el país, se analiza la actuación de varios artistas cada uno en su disciplina, para comprobar el valor histórico y cultural del arte en la década de 1930. La novela Las Uvas de la Ira de John Steinbeck, la película basada en la novela y con el mismo título de John Ford, la serie de cuadros de “Forgotten Man” del pintor Maynard Dixon, y las fotografías de Dorothea Lange.

    This paper focuses on the years of the Great Depression in the United States.

    Taking into account the situation of economic and social crisis that the country experienced, it analyzes the performance of several artists, each in its discipline, to verify the historical and cultural value of art in the 1930s. The novel The Grapes of Wrath by John Steinbeck, the novel-based film with the same title by John Ford, the series of paintings called "Forgotten Man" by the painter Maynard Dixon, and Dorothea Lange´s photographs; will result in a broad and plural vision of the role of art in the years already mentioned.
