  • Harkin discusses why the reputation of British scientist is the object of ridicule in Russia. He highlights the least genuine studies conducted by real scientists which to Russians creation of a satirical jokes that start "British Scientists have discovered" due to its stance for projects that are bonker and of no practical value. Among other thnings, a paper reported by Andrew Higginson and Marcus Munafo at Exeter and Bristol universities founds that it is in scientists' best interest to search out novel results and conduct small studies with less rigorous statistical analysis.
