Resumen de La sostenibilidad en el sector turístico: del marco ambiental global al marco económico-social local

  El presente artículo supone un recorrido de síntesis y actualización del desarrollo sostenible en general y de la sostenibilidad en el ámbito turístico en particular. En el trabajo se destaca cómo en la actualidad los aspectos medio-ambientales, que comenzaron siendo el eje central de la sostenibilidad, continúan siendo críticos para asegurar el desarrollo sostenible, pero ahora de manera integrada con los aspectos económicos y sociales. Además se destaca también la importancia que en la actualidad tiene el ámbito local, además del global, así como el hecho de que la sostenibilidad se integre con los procesos vinculados a la responsabilidad social. Por último también se hace referencia a cómo el desarrollo sostenible puede ser “rastreado” a partir de las declaraciones, cumbres y documentos que se han ido sucediendo a nivel global y también en cada país. Todo ello no hace sino poner en evidencia la importancia y la preocupación que, cada vez más, existe acerca del desarrollo sostenible. En una segunda parte del trabajo se aborda la evolución de la sostenibilidad en el turismo, destacando cómo este proceso posee características similares al desarrollo sostenible en general al mismo tiempo que características que le son propias.

  This paper supposes a tour of synthesis and update of the general sustainable development and of the tourism sustainability. In the article we show how at present the environmental aspects, which started being the backbone of the sustainability, continue being critics to assure the sustainable development, in a way that integrate also the economic and social aspects. In addition the paper also emphasizes the importance that at present possesses the local area, besides the global one, as well as the sustainability should join with the processes linked to the social responsibility. The paper also shows how the sustainable development can be "traced" from the declarations, meetings and documents that have been happening worldwide and also in every country. All this things evidence the importance and the worry that increasingly exists brings over of the sustainable development. In the second part the paper approaches the evolution of the sustainability in the tourism, emphasizing how this possesses similar characteristics to the general sustainable development.
