    Se cita por primera vez la presencia del ninfálido Vanessa virginiensis (Drury, [1773]) (Lepidoptera, Nymphalidae) en la provincia de León (noroeste de España). La cita constituye la tercera de esta especie para la Comunidad Autónoma de Castilla y León, y el primer avistamiento en dicha región en más de 30 años.

    The occurrence of the nymphalid Vanessa virginiensis (Drury, [1773]) (Lepidoptera, Nymphalidae) is recorded for the first time in the province of León (Northwest of Spain). This record is the third for this species in Castilla y León and the first sighting in this region in over 30 years.
