    Basándonos en el análisis de los trabajos de Chapman [1907] y Chapman & Champion (1907) se establece Fonte da Cova, Carballeda de Valdeorras (Ourense) como la localidad tipo del licénido Aricia morronensis chapmani (Ribbe, 1910), endemismo que ocupa una extensa área montañosa en los límites provinciales de Ourense con León y Zamora (España, N.O. de la Península Ibérica), clarificándose también su localización. Se trata además sobre inexactitudes vertidas en bibliografía precedente, incluyendo también apuntes sobre el estatus taxonómico y conservación de este taxón.

    Based on the analysis of papers by Chapman [1907] and Chapman & Champion (1907), Fonte da Cova, Carballeda de Valdeorras (Ourense) is stated as type locality for the lycaenid butterfly Aricia morronensis chapmani (Ribbe, 1910), endemism that occurs in an extensive mountainous area in the provincial boundaries among Ourense, León and Zamora (Spain, NW Iberian Peninsula), being clarified its geographic location too. Several inaccuracies from previous bibliography are solved and notes of the conservation status and taxonomy of this taxon are included as well.
