Scientists and physicians at the Hormones, Nutrition, and Physical Performance conference in Turin, Italy said that athletes are gambling with their health as they seek performance-enhancing drugs that will not be picked up by dope tests. Speaking prior to the start of the Winter Olympics in Turin, conference delegates said they suspected that many athletes competing at the games could have taken performance-enhancing drugs at some stage in their careers.
