El objetivo de este artículo es describir la operación del área de sostenibilidaddel Helm Bank en Colombia, como parte de un proyecto de investigaciónque busca identificar aprendizajes clave en la construcción y el diseñode la misma. Para lograr el objetivo se definieron indicadores agrupadosen cuatro variables: Evolución del área, Plataforma estratégica, Divisióndel trabajo y Coordinación del trabajo. Los resultados muestran que el áreaarticula iniciativas y proyectos transversalmente a través de toda la organización.Los proyectos ejecutados obedecen a la estrategia y criterios deactuación definidos por el gobierno corporativo del banco.

The objective of this article is to describe the operation of the sustainabilityarea of Helm Bank in Colombia, as part of a research project that aimsto identify the key learning’s in the building and design of such areas. Inorder to accomplish the objective indicators were defined and groupedin four variables, namely: Area Evolution, Strategic Platform, Divisionand Coordination of Labor. The outcomes show that the area articulatesinitiatives and projects transversally throughout all the organization. Theprojects executed obey the strategy and criteria defined by the organizationalgovernance of the bank.
