  Plagionotus andreui Fuente, 1908 (Coleoptera, Cerambycidae) es un endemismo ibérico de la tribu Clytini con una distribución dispersa en la Península Ibérica. Ésta suele coincidir con la presencia de su única planta hospedadora conocida, Lavatera triloba L.. En el presente trabajo este coleóptero es registrado por primera vez en Portugal, concretamente en Odemira, Beja (Baixo Alentejo) y se cita el arbusto perenne Lavatera olbia L. como nueva y alternativa planta hospedadora. En virtud de este hallazgo, se revisa y amplía la distribución conocida de P. andreui en relación con las especies hospedadoras (L. triloba y L. olbia) en la Península Ibérica y se genera un mapa de distribución potencial para P. andreui. Además, se aportan interesantes aspectos sobre la ecología y biología de la especie.

  Plagionotus andreui Fuente, 1908 (Coleoptera, Cerambycidae) is an Iberian endemism within the tribe Clytini with a scattered distribution in the Iberian Peninsula. This usually concurs with the presence of its sole known host plant, Lavatera triloba L.. In the present work this species is recorded for the first time in Portugal, from Odemira, Beja (Baixo Alentejo). The perennial shrub Lavatera olbia L. is cited as a new alternative host plant. The known distribution of both P. andreui and its host plants (L. triloba and L. olbia) is revised and expanded in the Iberian Peninsula and, based on the available information, a potential distribution map for P. andreui has been generated. In addition, interesting aspects of the ecology and biology of the species are provided.
