Resumen de Cultura escolar através da memória dos pomeranos na cidade de Pelotas, RS (1920-1930)

  This paper aims to analyze the cultural studies of the Pomeranians in Pelotas, Rio Grande do Sul, (1920-1930) through memory processes. By the memory conceptual aspect one understands it is socially constructed, demarcated by a certain group and reframed in the present, in this case, specially through the memories from school. The narrators were students at ethnic schools in the decades of 1920 and 1930. There have been interviewed eight participants from Lutheran institutions and all German literate. The approach contemplated the use of language within the school boundaries, daily, in addition to the figure of their teacher and of their priest, having religion as a central point in the curriculum, reading and writing practices, secular disciplines and school performance. By the testimonies one may perceive the generation of a specific cultural study complying with religious and doctrinaire concernments from the Lutheran institutions within these communities, which enabled an effective schooling of such individuals.

  Este artigo busca analisar a cultura escolar de pomeranos da cidade de Pelotas, RS (1920-1930) através dos processos de memória. No aspecto conceitual da memória entende-se que ela é construída socialmente, demarcada por um grupo e ressignificada no presente, neste caso, especialmente pelas lembranças escolares. Os narradores foram alunos e alunas das escolas étnicas das décadas de 1920-1930. Foram entrevistadas oito pessoas participantes de instituições luteranas e alfabetizadas na língua alemã. A abordagem contemplou o uso da língua nos espaços escolares e no cotidiano, a figura do professor e pastor destas escolas, a religião como ponto central no currículo, as práticas de leitura e escrita, as disciplinas seculares e o aproveitamento escolar.Através dos testemunhos pode-se perceber a formação de uma cultura escolar específica atendendo interesses religiosos e doutrinários por parte das instituições luteranas nestas comunidades, e que possibilitaram efetiva escolarização destes sujeitos.
