  • Outside of China, some producers claimed to secure contracts at $40-$50/tonne higher than existing levels. Consequently, many Chinese graphite suppliers increased their list prices by up to $50/tonne despite the ongoing demand slump in Europe and North America, IM heard.

    Drilling grade barite FOB Morocco (ground, SG 4.22, bagged) currently stands at $100-$150/tonne according to the IM Pricing Database. Drilling grade material FOB Chennai (unground lump, SG 4.2) is being priced at $125-$135/tonne.

    Paint grade barite from China (lump, CIF Gulf Coast) now stand at $215-$250/tonne, and API lump (CIF Gulf Coast) stands at $118-$130/tonne. Meanwhile, Indian barite (API, lump, CIF US Gulf Coast) prices currently stand at $120-130/tonne
