The second documented nesting ofthe Montagu's Harrier, Circus pygargus, in the Island of Mallorca, is decribed. This event has only been registered in 1967. The first attempt, which failed, was made in a cereal field in Pla de Mallorca (Vilafranca). This failure was due to the disturbances imposed upon the nest during harvesting. It's interesting that twice the male was observed incubating the eggs. Arecommendation for future strategy and action should be put in place to avoid similar failures.
