Beobachtungen von Phoenicurus ochruros auf Menorca Ende Oktober 2000 und Untersuchungen seiner Nahrung werden mitgeteilt. Die Nahrung weist das bekannte breite Spektrum auf und bestätigt die geringe Spezialisierung (s. Tab.1). Es erfolgt eine schnelle Anpassung an lokal unterschiedliche Nahrungsangebote. Trotz des geringen Reifegrades der attraktiven Lentiscus-Beeren ist der hohen Anteil pflanzlicher Kost (60 % Präsenz) bemerkenswert.

S’exposen els resultats de les observacions de l’alimentació de la coaroja de barraca Phoenicurus ochruros realitzades sistemàticament a Menorca a finals d’octubre de 2000. Els resultats mostren el conegut ampli espectre alimentari i confirmen la baixa especialització (vegeu la taula 1). Les coa-roges s’ajusten clarament a l’oferta local de preses. A pesar de la baixa quantitat de la nutritiva llentrisca (fruit de la mata Pistacia lentiscus) madura, va ser remarcable l’elevada proporció de la fracció vegetal (60% de presència) enregistrada.

- Observations of Black Redstart Phoenicurus ochrurus on Menorca from the end of October 2000 and the investigation of its´ food decribed. The food shows the extensively known spectrum and confirms the low specialisation (SEE TAB.1). Redstarts adjust to the different local prey offered very quickly. In spite of the low ripeness of the attractive berries of the Mastic tree Pistacia Lentiscus, the high portion of vegetable diet (60% presence) is remarkable.
