  • A child dies every minute from the severe diarrhea associated with rotavirus infection. But two recently develop vaccines could slash the number of deaths which appear to reduce the severity of diarrhea and the need for hospital visits. GlaxoSmithKline and Merck, the manufacturers of the two vaccines, have also indicated they are willing to charge poor countries less for them.
