El deporte cubano es reconocido a nivel mundial en diferentes disciplinas, sin embargo las actuaciones del atletismo en los últimos tiempos ha suscitado polémica debido a los bajos resultados obtenidos en las principales competiciones del calendario internacional. En oposición a lo anterior resaltan las actuaciones ascendentes de algunas figuras de los eventos de saltos, lanzamientos y eventos múltiples, ejemplo de ello es la atleta Yorgelis Rodríguez participante en el heptathlon con resultados que la colocan en la élite mundial de este deporte. Este estudio tiene como propósito determinar la progresión del rendimiento de esta atleta.

The cuban sport is acknowledged worldwide in different disciplines, however the behaviors of athletics in recent times he has provoked dispute due to the low results obtained in the main competitions of the international calendar. Contrary to the above they highlight the ascending behaviors of some figures of the events of jumps, throws and multiple events, example of it the athlete is Yorgelis Rodríguez participant in the heptathlon with results that place her on the worldwide elite of this sport. This study has like purpose to determine the progression of performance of this athlete.
