La clase política del reformismo borbónico: las redes sociales del cambio.

    Este trabajo observa la formación con los Borbones de una clase política ministerial y la recomposición de las jerarquías políticas y sociales que este cambio conllevó. Explora los rasgos sociales y culturales de esta clase política: su composición, reclutamiento, endogamias internas, valores, perfil ilustrado y reformista. La hipótesis general es que el cambio político del XVIII vino de la mano no de una burguesía, sino de los sectores administrativos, económicos e intelectuales más vinculados a la construcción del Estado español contemporáneo. Este cambio fue sectorial, pero más profundo de lo que se ha dicho. Su novedad se entiende mejor a la luz de la reciente revisión historiográfica sobre la monarquía jurisdiccional, cuyas permanencias llevan a reevaluar el significado del reformismo borbónico de la segunda mitad de la centuria.

    This work observes the formation with the Bourbons of a ministerial political class and the recomposition of the political and social hierarchies that this change entailed. It explores the social and cultural features of this political class: its composition, recruitment, internal endogamy, values, enlightened and reformist profile. The general hypothesis is that the political change of the XVIII came from the hand not of a bourgeoisie, but of the administrative, economic and intellectual sectors more linked to the construction of the contemporary Spanish State. This change was sectoral, but deeper than what has been said. Its novelty is best understood in the light of the recent historiographical revision on the jurisdictional monarchy, whose permanence leads to reevaluate the meaning of the Bourbon reformism of the second half of the century.
