  Nos adentramos en un recorrido fascinante por Trazos de luz, una retrospectiva de los animadores portugueses Abi Feijó y Regina Pessoa, inaugurada el pasado 26 de septiembre de 2017 en la Sala Josep Renau (UPV). Esta exposición recogía obras originales de sus producciones animadas, juguetes precinematográficos —¡y hasta una mesa iluminada con arena para animar!—, para deleite de alumnos, docentes, y público amante del septième art bis. El tándem lusitano es un referente mundial de la animación de autor contemporáneo. Comprometido con su país y la divulgación de la imagen animada, Feijó revitalizó el sector en los años noventa a través del Festival Cinanima y su productora Filmógrafo, dotando a Portugal de una nueva generación de realizadores independientes, y, particularmente, con una de las artistas revelación de la animación internacional del presente siglo. Tras regalarnos una singular factura plástica deudora del grabado animado de Piotr Dumała y aderezada con una profunda sensibilidad temática hacia la cultura popular y los traumas infantiles, Pessoa nos desvela su delicado trabajo, que, como comprobarán a lo largo del texto y en las exquisitas imágenes que lo acompañan, brilla con luz propia.   We are entering a fascinating journey through Strokes of Light, a retrospective of the Portuguese animators Abi Feijó and Regina Pessoa, inaugurated on 26th September 2017 in the Sala Josep Renau (UPV). This exhibition included original works from their animated productions, pre-cinema toys — and even a light table for tracing sand!, to the delight of students, scholars, and public lovers of the septième art bis. The Lusitanian tandem is a worldwide reference for contemporary auteur animation. Committed to his country and the spreading of the animated image, Feijó revitalized the sector in the nineties through the Cinanima Festival and his company Filmógrafo, providing Portugal with a new generation of independent filmmakers, and, particularly, with one of the artist’s revelations of the international animation in the present century. After giving us a singular plastic manufacture owing to the Piotr Dumała’s animated engraving and embellished with a deep thematic sensitivity towards popular culture and childhood traumas, Pessoa reveals to us her delicate artwork, which, as you will notice throughout the text and in the exquisite images that accompany it, shines with its own light.
