  • Resumen
    • Turkish refractories manufacturer, Superates Materials Industry Inc. (Superates Atese Mukavim Malzeme Sanayi AS), has reportedly ceased production after it sold the land accommodating its plant in Istanbul to construction company, Mesa Mesken Sanayii AS.

It is possible that Superates, which had a production capacity of 55,000 tpa refractory materials at its 25,000 square metre Istanbul plant, may continue to operate as a supplier of refractory materials.

It is not yet clear whether Superates has also sold off its mining concessions, but the company previously told IM that it planned to invest in an integrated refractory plant, with a design capacity to produce up to 60,000 tpa magnesia materials.
