    • Privately-owned LMT, the parent company of Sachtleben Bergbau GmbH & Co. KG and Deutsche Baryt Industrie GmbH & Co. KG (DBI), has been operating its Grube Clara barite and fluorite mine in the Black Forest, southwest Germany, for 110 years.

      "The most important market for us is functional fillers for paints and coatings," he explained. "We can supply drilling grade barite, but we don't currently sell any into this industry because we are too far away from the markets. We sell a small amount of material for geothermal drilling in Germany, but not very much."
