Se presenta el caso de una mujer convencida de haber sufrido un importante perjuicio físico-estético como consecuencia de una cirugía, demandando la reparación del presunto daño causado.
La evaluación pericial psicológica del caso, junto a las valoraciones médicas previas de la demandante, permite detectar un trastorno somatomorfo (dismorfofobia) con delirio somático, colaborando así a explicar y frenar o reconducir el peregrinaje médico y judicial en el que la peritada estaba inmersa.
This article presents the case of a woman who is convinced of having suffered important physical and aesthetic damage as a result of surgery, thus claiming compensation for alleged damage caused.
The expert psychological assessment of the case, together with previous medical assessments of the plaintiff, allows the detection of a somatoform disorder (body dysmorphic disorder) with somatic delusions, thus contributing to explain and stop or redirect the medical and judicial pilgrimage in which the subject has been immersed.
