La sociedad patriarcal en la que vivimos, ha condicionado unos roles hacia el género femenino que actualmente dificultan el acceso de la mujer al mercado laboral, ya que todavía se la relaciona a dos esferas, la productiva y la familiar. Haciendo un breve repaso desde la creación de la Unión Europea hasta la actualidad, se intentará vislumbrar si la mujer, con las nuevas directrices europeas aplicadas a nuestro Estado, continua siendo infravalorada o por el contrario se ha conseguido la igualdad de oportunidades entre hombres y mujeres

Some roles towards the feminine gender had been created due to the patriarchal society we have lived. These roles difficult the access of the woman to the labour market, because the woman is still related with two spheres, the productive and the family ones. Making a brief review from the creation of the European Union to the actuality, we will intend to arrive to the conclusion, using the new European directives applied to our state, if women continuos to be underestimated or by the contrary it is achieved an equal opportunity between men and women
