  • The article focuses on the works of poet Jan Cruso of Norwich, England, and includes information on the classical and modern sources of his poetry. Topcis discussed include the early life of Cruso who was born on February 6, 1592, his poem "Uytbreydinge Over den Achtsten Psalm David" ("Amplification of the Eighth Psalm of David"), and his collection of 221 epigrams. It also discusses the comparison of the English poems written by Cruso to his Dutch language poems.
