  • The opera in two acts 'The Catiline Conspiracy' by the Scottish composer Iain Hamilton (1922-2000) was first performed in Scotland in 1974. Hamilton always regarded Catiline's conspiracy as having contemporary significance; in particular, in this opera he focuses on the theme of corruption through power.
