    Esti artículu recueye una esposición de la producción escrita en llingua gallega a lo llargo de los sieglos XVI, XVII y XVIII. Entama estos conteníos una curtia presentación del cultivu d’esta llingua na Edá Media y ponse puntu al trabayu con un averamientu a la so renacencia nel sieglu XIX. Ensáyase en cada una d’estes partes un balance contrastivu colo que taba asocediendo naquelles mesmes dómines cola llingua asturiana. L’análisis que se fai nel trabayu ye de calter sociollingüísticu y non lliterariu: los testos de los que nél se fala nun son namái los de creación lliteraria y, per otru llau, nes presentaciones que se faen lo que s’intenta ye, sobre manera, poner daqué lluz nes rellaciones que puen afitase ente la producción escrita de cada dómina y los correspondientes escenarios sociollingüísticos de la Galicia y l’Asturies medievales, modernes y contemporanees.

    This paper presents a review of the different kind of texts that were written in Galician during the 16th, 17th and 18th centuries. This analysis is preceded by a brief presentation of the written uses of this language in the Middle Ages and concludes with an approach to its revival in the 19th century. The analysis is completed with a parallel reference to what we know about the written use of the Asturian language in the same periods. Our aproach is not literary, but sociolinguistic since the texts we present are not limited to those wich contain literary creation. Besides, in our presentation we attempet to clarify the relations between the written production of each historical period an the sociolinguistic contexts of Medieval, Modern and Contemporary Galicia and Asturias.
