  • Herewith in presented a review of the embriology, development, histology, anatomy and function of the maxillary sinuses.

    Parting from the definition of what is understood by odontogenic alterations, a list of the same has been drwan up with a surgical buccomaxillofacial indication as relates the maxillary sinuses.

    Clinical signs and symptoms, as well as radiographic signs are valued in the sense of establishing a routine for an examination, objectivating a diffrential diagnosis.

    Finally, there is a verification of the surgical and terapeutic conducts as concerns the listed alterations.
